Spiritual Warfare

Came to a vital realization today.

I've been under spiritual attack for months now. SomeTHING wants me to die - IT wants me dead.

I'm not speaking about any overt demonic presence - just an oppression that I've never experienced before.

It's kept me physically and emotionally rundown.

I don't want to share so publicly about the specifics, but I believe the HOLY Spirit has lifted the oppression somewhat with just the revelation.

Just KNOWING that it's not me, has been helped immensely.

Paul says in Ephesians "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]."

It helps knowing that I must be getting closer to God with this kind of intensity, but I am now aware of the tactics.

Blessings to God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ

Praying for you in this, brother. I like what was shared at the conference about spiritual warfare. Like you say, it's not about flesh and blood, but rather principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. These non-flesh and blood entities want to keep Christ from being "fully formed" in us. But indeed, the truth sets us free, and the other aspects of our spiritual armor and weaponry also keep us living from "above the line," so to speak.

John - Glad you are in a better place, brother!

You know, it's funny you quoted that scripture. That is the scripture which comforts me when I get angry thoughts about my ex-pastor! LOL!

It reminds me that our battle is not against people (flesh and blood)...

Thanks!

Bino,

Peter also said, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you]."

I understand. I think I have been feeling that way too. . . Constant physical ailments like never before. Tired. Drained. Foggy. . .

I think that that I want to be reminded how Jesus made a spectacle of the powers and principalities. . .

Lydia,

I just went back and saw 37 comments for your er...umm...post about er...umm - you know...

Anyway, this IS different than anything I've ever been thru and I understand the fogginess you speak of.

Satan is seeking whom he may devour.

I think it helps just knowing who and what the enemy is.

Blessings
